Stanley W. Smith, DDS, FACD.
Dr. Smith is a highly respected surgeon nationally with over thirty years of experience.
Dr. Smith earned his bachelor’s from Lafayette College and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry. He completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. and is Board Certified in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Smith is the Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. He had served as president of the New York State Society Of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and currently is an advisor on the New York State Dental Board.
Dr. Smith has lectured extensively.
He’s a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, and he’s assistant professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
A native New Yorker, Dr Smith interests include, among others, skiing, martial arts, cycling, and scuba diving.
